In 1946. post World War II. five Japanese families opened up a small soy sauce manufacturing plant in Kalihi. Hawaii. Since that time. Aloha Shoyu Company has grown into a prominent Soy Sauce provider in the Hawaiian Islands. We named our company with two words: ‘Aloha’ and ‘Shoyu’. to express our deeply-rooted island heritage combined with our Japanese history. ‘Shoyu’ comes from Japan and is renowned in Hawaii for referring to soy sauce.
